Sat 3:00 Portsmouth v Man City
With the Pompey hot-seat now vacated, the search is on for a new manager but it looks like Paul Hart will be in temporary charge with Brian Kidd to assist him. The general consensus is that Tony Adams should have been given more time but they'd been playing better at Fratton Park than losing their last 4 home games might suggest. They deserved more against Liverpool but mistakes at the back cost them dear in the dying stages of the game. They host a City side that haven't lived up to expectations on the road and won just one of their eleven away fixtures. Both Dunne and Wright-Phillips are suspended but City have plenty of attacking options, as Robinho and Elano showed in Brazil's win over Italy. However, City haven't been at their best in recent weeks and Portsmouth will have chances. The Pompey fans back their side to the hilt and though it's far from certain, they might have something to celebrate come the final whistle.
Home Win 2-1
