Wed 19:45 Arsenal v West Ham
Arsenal suffered their second Premier League defeat on the bounce after going down 2-1 at Stamford Bridge despite a spirited second-half fightback. Wenger was down to the bare bones, so much so that he was reduced to bringing on Arshavin for Diaby in the 75th minute. However, both Oxlade-Chamberlain and Podolski should be available after missing the Chelsea defeat through illness. Walcott celebrated signing a new contract with what turned out to be a consolation goal and could be moved back into his preferred central position in place of the mis-firing Giroud. The Gunners are now 7 points behind 4th-placed Spurs and there's cause for concern after winning only half their home fixtures. They host a West Ham side trying to consolidate their mid-table position. They fought back for a draw at home to QPR last weekend but their form on the road has been poor with just a point their only reward from the last 5 away matches. Carroll, Collins and McCartney are still out injured whilst Maiga is away at the African Cup of Nations. The Hammers showed in the second half against Rangers that they're capable of building pressure but their away results fail to bear that out and this looks like a victory for the home side.
Home Win 2-1
